Best for

Technical mountain running and mixed terrain: running, steep hiking, scrambling on rock and scree. Integrated gaiter for snow and water crossings. Athletes like Zach Miller have used it in preparation for races such as Hard Rock, at high altitude.

Weak points

The original Offtrail TR model drew criticism for excessive weight and limited runnability; the Ultra was developed specifically to address those shortcomings. The shoe is not yet available to the public (release expected August 2026).
