Narrow fit relative to current market average: the footbed is slim, the toe box tapers toward the front. Sizes like a Salomon S/Lab; in US sizing, recommend going half a size down.

Feel

Supercritical EVA midsole — reactive and cushioned, 39/34 mm stack with 5 mm drop. Energetic response without instability; the geometric rocker guides the transition. High protection, ground feel nearly absent.

Durability

Over 100 km with no signs of structural degradation reported by one source; after 70 miles (~112 km) upper intact and midsole still responsive. Vibram Megagrip Light outsole with minimal wear, limited to the outer heel edge.

Best for

Ultra-trail on technical terrain, 50K and beyond. Designed around the Tor des Géants 330 km; suited to mixed terrain, mud, wet rock. Not a lightweight race-day shoe.

Weak points

AVS 3.0 dual-pull lacing system is divisive: several testers find it uncomfortable to adjust and the retention pocket tight. The shoe is heavy for the race-day category and the high stack eliminates ground feel on technical descents.
