Fit

True to size, slightly narrow through the midfoot. The GTX version adds volume; also available in wide. The Sensi-fit system wraps the foot without compressing.

Feel

Energy Cell+ midsole with high durometer: firm response, not plush. Sufficient cushioning for medium-to-long distances on mud and technical terrain; acceptable performance on short road sections.

Durability

Solid construction; some sources estimate 700–1,000 miles. Delamination risk in the forefoot zone reported for forefoot strikers. Contagrip rubber is softer than Vibram and wears faster on hard surfaces.

Best for

Aggressive trail shoe for mud, snow, and wet terrain. Suited for races and training in UK/alpine conditions, distances from 5 to 40 km. The GTX version adds waterproofing at the cost of breathability and weight.

Weak points

Non-gusseted tongue allows dirt and debris to enter. The quick-lace system divides users and the lace can slip loose during hard efforts.
