Nike Pegasus 42 gore Tex

Nike Pegasus 42 gore Tex review: what runners say

Fit

Tendentially narrow fit with a less structured toe box. Forefoot volume draws mixed opinions, making a half-size up advisable for those seeking extra room.

Feel

Neutral, stable, and consistent ride without a marked bounce effect. Cushioning is balanced, with a firm feel some runners describe as flat, especially compared to more modern foams.

Durability

Solid construction typical of the Pegasus series, expected to exceed 600-800 km. Waffle rubber outsole shows moderate wear and reliable traction on various surfaces.

Best for

Versatile daily trainer for moderate-paced running. Suitable for those seeking a single reliable shoe for alternating running paces and casual use; less suited for speed work.

Weak points

High perceived weight and poor foam responsiveness. Many runners report a lack of forefoot cushioning and limited energy return compared to competitors.
