Mizuno Wave Rider gtx 4

Mizuno Wave Rider gtx 4 review: what runners say

Fit

True to size, structured with materials that ensure protection and thermal insulation. The ripstop upper with GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane offers effective protection but is less breathable than standard models.

Feel

Cushioning based on a combination of Mizuno Enerzy NXT and a full-length Wave plate. The sensation is one of fluid transition with consistent energy return, suited for a stable, protected run on variable surfaces.

Durability

X10 rubber outsole, a compound known for abrasion resistance and grip, designed to cover high mileage on asphalt and packed trails.

Best for

Neutral daily trainer for road training and packed trails in adverse weather conditions; ideal for those seeking protection from rain and moisture.

Weak points

The upper can feel warm in summer conditions. Reports of a persistent slight rustling noise (paper-like) due to the waterproof material.
