Fit

Improved fit over previous versions thanks to the new Skyfire last: more secure through the midfoot and heel. Some runners still report needing the top eyelet to lock down the heel.

Feel

FloatPro midsole noticeably stiffer than in version 5, with poor energy return. The platform provides protection and ground feel, but little dynamic character.

Durability

Construction expected to be long-lasting given design and materials; Vibram Megagrip outsole with 5 mm lugs considered among the most durable and capable on the market.

Best for

Technical trail and mixed-terrain shoe for runners who prioritize grip and protection over responsiveness. Well suited to singletrack, mud, snow, and alpine terrain; less appropriate for long distances or fast trail efforts.

Weak points

The FloatPro feels harder and less responsive than the previous version. The narrow toe box limits toe splay for runners with a high-volume forefoot.
