Fit

Runs large — most sources recommend sizing up a full size, though at least one suggests a half size; non-stretch Dyneema upper molds to the foot with use; heel is reinforced compared to the 001.

Feel

Low stack (19/15 mm, 4 mm drop) with Vibram SLE midsole: moderate cushioning, good ground feel, decent response. Connected rather than bouncy ride; suited to runners prioritizing technical stability over maximum protection.

Durability

Bio-based Dyneema upper shows zero notable wear at 70 miles; Vibram Megagrip Litebase outsole with 5 mm lugs nearly pristine at 70 mi. One source projects 1,000+ km based on parallel experience with the 001.

Best for

Technical trail at sustained pace, racing, or fast efforts on mixed terrain. Not ideal for slow-paced ultras given the low stack; best suited to runners experienced with minimal-infrastructure footwear.

Weak points

Dyneema upper drains and breathes poorly — one source reported pouring water out of the shoe after a run in heavy rain. Laces reported as too long and prone to coming undone, noted by multiple sources.
