Fit

Structured fit with a slightly rounded toe box and roomy forefoot. Norda recommends sizing up half a size; the gusseted lace system provides solid midfoot lockdown.

Feel

Arnitel TPEE midsole is more responsive and slightly softer than the Vibram EVA in the original 001, but denser than the 005. Balanced ride between protection and ground connection, with natural stability appreciated on technical terrain.

Durability

Norda claims 1,000+ km lifespan; Dyneema upper considered virtually indestructible by sources. Vibram Megagrip Litebase outsole with 5 mm lugs rated durable for hundreds of km, though some runners note the rubber wears before the upper.

Best for

All-around and ultra trail up to 50K–50 miles, on hard-packed, rocky, or mixed terrain. Not suited for deep mud; usable on asphalt for short stretches.

Weak points

Heel collar and tongue-to-collar junction can cause chafing during the first few dozen km before break-in. Weight unchanged from the 001 despite promises of savings.
