New Balance Supercomp Elite v6

New Balance Supercomp Elite v6 review: what runners say

Fit

Fit tends to be narrow, particularly in the heel and midfoot. Most sources recommend a half-size increase for long distances; also available in 2E width.

Feel

Infinion foam with high rebound and limited compliance: snappy response at toe-off, smooth transition thanks to the aggressive rocker and stiffer forefoot plate. Lightweight feel underfoot.

Durability

Below-average category durability: ultra-thin outsole (~1mm) with large areas of exposed midfoot foam. Lateral forefoot wear noted as early as 40 miles in some tests; suitable for racing and key workouts, not daily mileage.

Best for

5K to marathon racer for neutral runners with midfoot or forefoot strikes. Strongest at half-marathon to marathon distances; less suitable for heavier runners or pronounced heel strikers.

Weak points

Insufficient heel stability for those who land on the heel or run at slower paces. Non-gusseted tongue prone to bunching during entry, noted by multiple sources.
