Feel

Classic and relatively firm feel, not soft: two midsole densities (Energy foam on top, EVA below) create the Wave without a plate. Generous cushioning that stays stable over time, built for long hours on the run.

Durability

Vibram Megagrip outsole with approximately 5 mm lugs; expected durability exceeds the version 9 with its Michelin outsole. Heat-bonded overlays and a rigid heel counter increase structural integrity of the upper.

Best for

Ultra trail and long distance for heavier runners (85–90 kg and above) seeking protection and reliability on mixed terrain. Not suited for fast paces or lighter runners who prioritize responsiveness.

Weak points

High weight (340 g men's): not a choice for those seeking dynamism or speed. The 8 mm drop may feel noticeable for runners accustomed to low-drop footwear.
