Fit

Fitted, narrower through the metatarsal and forefoot: runners with wide or borderline-wide feet should consider a half size up or the Wide version. Heel revised from the SG6: solid lockdown, no slippage.

Feel

Supercritical EVA midsole at medium density: airier than the previous CMEVA, with decent protection and mild ground feel. Not a bouncy platform: energy return is moderate, stability takes priority.

Durability

Vibram Megagrip outsole with 5 mm lugs: expected to last up to 600 km when kept off pavement. At least one source reported early upper delamination under 50 km; not confirmed as a systemic issue.

Best for

Technical trail and all-terrain, from 5K to ultras. Jack-of-all-trades: handles mixed terrain, short road stretches, and variable conditions. Not a substitute for a plated shoe for runners chasing pure speed.

Weak points
