Fit

Generous toebox fit relative to Hoka standards and most trail shoes. The rocker can make the shoe feel slightly short for runners with longer toes.

Feel

Extreme cushioning (49 mm stack) with a medium-soft feel, structured by the carbon plate. Smooth, rolling ride with stability that exceeds expectations for such a high stack.

Durability

Vibram Megagrip outsole with 3.5 mm unconventional lug geometry; no significant wear at 50 miles. Upper includes a fray-resistant treatment. Theoretically suited for 100-mile races.

Best for

Ultras and long runs on non-technical mixed terrain: gravel, moderate trails, mixed surface. Not recommended for demanding technical terrain at sustained pace.

Weak points

High weight (343 g men's). Heel lockdown is insufficient. The $225 price point is considered a drawback relative to perceived value.
