Fit

Narrower than the Cascadia 19, with solid midfoot lockdown. The toe box runs small — a real issue for wide or high-volume feet.

Feel

DNA Flash v2 midsole is more responsive and less plush than the previous DNA Loft v3. Smooth ride on packed terrain; on technical descents and broken ground, some runners find the response less satisfying.

Durability

Vibram Megagrip with 4mm lugs: solid grip on dry and wet surfaces, less effective in deep mud where lugs tend to clog. Definitive mileage data not yet available from sources.

Best for

Trail runners looking for an all-rounder on packed surfaces, gravel, and non-extreme singletrack. Also suitable for road-to-trail use. Not the optimal choice for steep technical singletrack or mud.

Weak points

Toe box narrower than the previous version: a clear limitation for wide feet. Midsole perceived as firmer than expected on long distances and descents, with reduced ground feel in the forefoot.
