Fit

More structured fit than the Superior 6: heel cup is more enveloping with less lateral play. Toe box remains rounded with a generous width, but less relaxed than the predecessor.

Feel

21 mm compressed EVA midsole, firm and ground-oriented signature. Ground feel is high; cushioning is minimal and penalizes technical descents on rock.

Durability

MaxTrac outsole rated positively for grip and wear resistance compared to previous Altra models; expected mileage not quantified by sources, but overall durability assessment is solid.

Best for
