Fit

Slim fit (Altra Slim Footshape): narrower than other Altra models. Half size up from true size is required.

Feel

Medium cushioning with EGO EVA foam: balanced ride, ground feel present. Tapered toecap aids transition on asphalt; on light trail, comfort holds to 10 miles.

Durability

100+ miles with minimal upper wear. Version 2 moves from ripstop mesh to an engineered mesh more resistant to abrasion at overlays. MaxTrac outsole with excellent declared durability on packed surfaces.

Best for

Road/light trail hybrid: fire roads, gravel, groomed paths in dry conditions. Suited for distances from 5K to half marathon. Not suited for technical trail, mud, or demanding terrain.

Weak points

Sizing consistently runs a half size short: reported uniformly across all sources. Insufficient traction on mud and technical trail: lugs are too shallow and closely spaced to provide grip in difficult conditions.
