Fit

Wide toebox, standard for Altra 4mm drop. Width feels mid-range — neither slim nor wide — and may feel narrow for runners used to classic zero-drop models.

Feel

Compressed EVA midsole with a natural, flexible feel. Ride is smooth with a hint of rocker; responsiveness is modest.

Durability

Solid durability per sources. MaxTrac outsole with good coverage. One tester logged 92 miles on technical terrain with no significant wear reported.

Best for

Non-technical trail, road-to-trail hybrid, daily training. Not suited for aggressive alpine terrain or runners requiring maximum traction on snow and ice.

Weak points

Low energy return. Limited breathability. Some runners report foot slippage inside the shoe, both longitudinal and lateral. Toe cap may contact the big toe on descents.
